Biscuiteers, London – Review

It’s been a while but the cousins are BACK! And this time we’re decorating biscuits. God help us all! It’s been a long time since we’ve had a meetup, get a bit crazy, have a big meal and attempt a cookery course.

The home of this cousin meet up? The beautiful Biscuteers in Notting Hill. An utterly beautiful shop full to the brim with delicious and delicately decorated biscuits. Not only do they run decorating classes in their Icing Cafe downstairs but they also have a cosy snug that you can drop in and decorate biscuits to your heart’s content.

For £15 you can decorate four biscuits and then £2.50 for each extra ones. We had an arrange of colours to get piping with and the competition was on between the cousins! It was interesting how we are related but our designs and approaches were completely different…..

Some got more excited at the prospect of icing the biscuits….Funnily my cousin is an actress, clearly a very shy actress.

Ok so we might not be the neatest cousins and if you’re gonna give us a stack of plain biscuits, tons of icing and sprinkles, we’re gonna go a bit crazy!

Very creative turning the teapot cookie into an elephant…with a hat on of course!

Again a unique change to the lion shape cookie into a map of the UK, you can totally see that right??

While our many biscuits were setting in the oven we have a nose around the gorgeous shop seeing how the piping should really be done.

My pirate gingerbread man, which a four-year-old exclaimed when his mum pointed to it. ‘That’s the worst pirate I’ve ever seen.’ Thanks, kid. Jerk. The Biscuiteer staff was much more kind about our creations.

It was such a fun way to spend a Sunday morning and oddly soothing to do something creative and edible. As ever it was such a fun day with my cousins, we then went for lunch as a meaty treat after all that concentrating on the icing and there may have been weird face pulling on public transport. A standard day out with the cousins then.
