As well as writing my blog, I spend a lot of my time reading other foodie and lifestyle blogs. Yes I get jealous of the beautiful pictures and the fabulous international lifestyles some of them have, but most importantly I love seeing what everyone is baking and up to. So my bloglovin‘ following list is HUGE! It’s almost a full time job just reading all the new posts! I thought I would start sharing with you what I’m reading and enjoying. I’ve there’s any out there you think I should be checking out, pop the address in the comment box below.
For the first Foodie Follow Friday, I’m going to share with you some stand out blogs that I get excited when there’s a new post – some you may of already seen and some not so much.
1. Joy The Baker
Who doesn’t love Joy’s blog?!? I love her straight forward style of writing, the way it makes you automatically want to be friends with her, mainly to eat bacon in all of it’s glorious formats with her. I also love her cookery book which readers know I have tried many of her recipes, which as well as being sexy as hell, works every time and becomes firm favourites such as Single Lady Pancakes and Cinnamon Rolls. Joy is my blogging hero – when I (my blog) grows up I want it to be like Joy’s! www.joythebaker.com
Warning: Reading this blog will cause mass jealousy. I want Rosie’s life! From her blog it looks amazing! Travelling to exotic lands, sipping on champagne and eating the most colossal burgers known to man. Beautiful photography and the first place I head to if I want to find an awesome restaurant to take friends to in London and to stare at pictures of her renown Slutty Brownies – yum. www.thelondoner.me
3. The Cake Hunter
I was paired up with Sophie for January this year for the Foodie Penpal scheme and had been following her blog for a while, so was excited to send her a lovely foodie parcel. Check out her recipes, an impressive list of sweet treats that will have you drooling at your keyboard and wishing you could reach into your screen and grab a slice! I particularly love her Caramelised White Chocolate Cheesecake and hopefully going to try making it soon. www.thecakehunter.co.uk
4. Poires au Chocolate
Emma’s blog was one of the first blogs I started following when I first started mine. I was drawn in my the beautiful photography and again the mouth watering recipes. One of the first recipes I tried and posted on my blog was her Chocolate Coconut Milk Cake for the first Pudding Club. Which goes without saying, turned out beautifully and the remaining slices were hoovered up in a blink of an eye at work. www.poiresauchocolat.net
5. Raspberri Cupcakes
Right on the other side of the planet from the UK is Steph at raspberri cupcakes. Again you can see the pattern forming, I like blogs that have beautiful photos and sweet treats on offer. Think I need to stock pile sprinkles and attempt her Purple Ombre Sprinkles Cake which looks like a thing of beauty! www.raspberricupcakes.com
Lastly, Food Producers I Love
To kick off the first Foodie Follow Friday Producer, is a company that I’m constantly raving about, as I’m that in love with the product. It’s Paul. A Young Fine Chocolates. I gather Sophie, from The Cake Hunter a brownie and bar as a part of her foodie parcel. I’ve been on brownie master classes and then made said brownies, and bought the recipe book to add to my obscene size collection. I’m even booked into the truffle making course in November – I booked it 6 months in advance! The SoHo shop is my first stop on all my trips to London (which I do a lot!) and smuggle array of treats back to the West Country where I live so I don’t have to be with out the amazingly rich brownies and delectable truffles. Pop by to try out the hot chocolate in the winter months and ice cream in summer – can you tell I’m totally fan girl for this place!
(I wasn’t paid to review the above, I just love sharing good food!)
