Grillstock, Bristol – Review

It has been well documented that I’m no lady. And neither are my friends. We’re girlie in the sense we still cry at The Notebook and some times only chocolate will do. But when it comes to good BBQ and…

Purslane, Cheltenham – Review

Being a family of international jet setters, this year my family wasn’t together to celebrate Father’s Day together. My dad is a one of a kind dad, truly special and puts up with a lot of cheek from me and…

Panzanella Salad Recipe

This isn’t a recipe as such, more like an assembly of all things delicious. At my work, me and one of my colleagues has started to cook for the rest of the team. So far we’ve many slow cooked sous vide chilli con carne with chorizo, treacle and chocolate, Chinese broth with pork dumplings and chicken noodle salad. This dish has to be one of my favourites. It’s light, vibrant and darn tasty. So much so we ended up doing a huge tray of this salad to feed most of the factory workers too!

Foodie Adventure to Treviso and Venice, Italy – Travel

I love travelling. Even if it is a quick couple of days somewhere. I even love the airport and all the craziness that comes with it. So when my rental’s asked if I wanted to come away for a couple…

Homemade Elderflower Cordial Recipe

Sunshine has finally come to the UK – hurrah! Who would have thought we would actually be getting a proper summer? Not me.  The Lions won test series and Andy Murray won Wimbledon and we have sunshine – perfect. On…

The Stable, Bristol – Review

I’m really not cool. In fact, I’m geeky and clumsy. I manage to lose control of my limbs in social settings and in some cases, thrown my sunglasses to the ground in awkward silences. Smooth. So when my lovely work…

Peanut Butter, Smoked Bacon and Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

It has been said many times on this blog that I am not refined.  I don’t make delicately decorated cookies or fairy cakes. I make Filthy Oreo Pancakes, Buffalo Chicken Wings and Peanut Butter and Nutella Brownies. So we reached an…

Bravas, Bristol – Review

I review a lot of restaurants that tend to not actually be near where I live, which is brilliant but also a shame as there are some fantastic restaurants in Bristol. I first went to Bravas on Cotham Hill in…

Taste of London Festival 2013, London – Review

I love trying out new food. Whether it’s new ingredients, new recipes or a new restaurant. I love the exchange of ideas and new trends that can come from eating out. That is why I try to go to the…

Coconut and Dark Chocolate Madeleines Recipe

Normally when it comes to baking, I can be a bit slapdash. I’m not the most gentle or precise baker. I like things like crumbles, that you can get properly stuck into. But some recipes deserve some respect. Last time,…

Nutella and Peanut Butter Brownies Recipe

We all have them. Those days when you think, why didn’t I just pull my duvet over my head and stay there? I’m lucky that it doesn’t happen that often as I try to be a positive person but sometimes…

The Crooked Billet, Henley-on-Thames – Review

When World War Two  broke out, my grandma was 18. She was currently working in a bank in Bournemouth. To help the war effort she was sent to Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes, home of the Enigma and Code breaking. After…

Pork Potsticker Dumplings Recipe

I love dumplings. They are awesome. I love the rich dense dumpling with Eastern European goulash. I love the dumpling bobbing in a booze Irish stew. But most of all I love Chinese dumplings. I don’t know why but when…

Bristol Eats, Bristol – Review

I’m feral. I’m not refined. My dad constantly threatens I’m not too old to be sent to a Swiss finishing school, despite I’m 25. I’m not prim or proper. I like eating with my hands. But in my defence, there are times…
